DROWNED LAND

In this project, I photographed the landscapes in my own surroundings, exploring the connections with the landscapes I previously photographed in Iceland and Northern Scandinavia.

Here, we see a flooded meadow, where channels were dug for drainage.

The images were captured in bad weather, with strong winds and heavy rain showers, contributing to the creation of a different reality. By using the pinhole camera with a wide-angle view, the sense of scale is lost, and small sandbanks transform into mountains.
